Band messaging data requests
Athonics Limited is testing a band messaging service with As Rome Burns. The service is not open to other bands yet.
Ask for a copy or deletion
Email [email protected]. Tell us which band you contacted, whether you used Instagram or Facebook, and your account name or profile link. An approximate date of the message or comment can help us find it. Do not send your password. We may need to check that the account belongs to you before we act on the request.
You can also use Meta's account tools to request deletion for a connected app. If Meta sends that request to Athonics, we handle it. Include any reference code if you contact us about its progress.
What we can remove
We can remove stored conversation text, saved replies and records of messages passed to a person that are linked to your platform account. If you have replied "STOP", tell us whether you also want the opt-out identifier removed. Keeping it prevents automated replies to that account.
This does not remove messages or comments held by Instagram, Facebook, or the band's own account. Use the platform's controls or contact the band about those records.
Automatic cleanup in the hosted pilot
At bands.athonics.com, daily cleanup removes conversation and saved reply records more than 30 days after creation, including pending drafts and messages passed to a person. It removes operational records and deletion receipts older than 90 days. These periods apply to the hosted pilot's active data store, not As Rome Burns' separate legacy service or copies in email, logs or backups. They do not delete copies held by Meta or by the provider that drafted replies. Before 8 October 2026 this was OpenAI; since then it is Anthropic.
Minimal opt-out identifiers and records that prevent a repeated private reply to the same comment remain until you ask us to delete them. Connected account credentials remain while the account is connected. You can request deletion before the automatic cleanup runs.
Read our privacy notice for more about the pilot and the information it handles.
