Connecting the shop floor to group reporting
This engagement brings operational records from three manufacturing companies into a shared platform. The scope covers daily production numbers, order books, payroll, and inspections.
The work connects two uses of the same information: recording activity at each site and reviewing performance across the group. The person entering a production figure and the manager reading a report need a consistent record.
What we built
Site forms and shop-floor systems feed an operations database on Azure SQL. Power Apps supports data entry, while Power BI presents the group view. Dashboards refresh twice a day.
The platform also connects operational information to payroll and scheduled reporting. Database changes are recorded as versioned migrations, so changes to the structure can be reviewed and applied in a controlled sequence.
What the platform supports
Site teams can record their daily activity in a platform that also supports group reporting. Production, order-book, payroll, and inspection information sit within the same programme of work.
The engagement is ongoing. Further changes build on the shared platform as operational requirements develop.
